Adolescent outpatient treatment at Sierra Vista Hospital is meant to help adolescents, ages 13 to 17, who have a behavioral health disorder but do not require 24-hour intensive care. They can receive treatment while still attending school.
The program runs up to eight weeks long and focuses on the development of life skills that can help minimize the effects of behavioral health issues. Based on dialectical behavioral therapy, the program focuses on four modules with two weeks dedicated to each module.
Sessions are held Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the hospital and 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at our Folsom Campus. Tuesdays and Thursdays are family nights. Dinner is provided. Patients can transition to this program after leaving our inpatient program.
