Geriatric Psychiatry

Geriatric Psychiatry clients reside in a secure unit that provides acute inpatient hospitalization in a safe and therapeutic environment.

Treatment in this program is provided by a team of licensed professionals who have experience in the assessment and treatment of older adults.

The program, under the direction of the attending psychiatrist, is designed as a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment and encompasses a variety of therapies including individual, group, family activities and psychopharmacology.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality assessment, diagnoses and treatment services for older adults with acute psychiatric and coexisting medical problems which require inpatient treatment in an environment suited to the special needs of this population with regard for the rights and dignity of older adults.
