Mike Zauner
CEO
Mike Zauner joined Sierra Vista Hospital as Chief Executive Officer in March of 2010. Prior to joining Sierra Vista, Mike acted as the Chief Operating Officer of a sister facility in Kirkland, Wash., just outside of Seattle. Mike has more than 15 years of behavioral health hospital operations experience, much of that focused on managed care contracting and business development. After earning his MBA from Indiana University in 1994, Mike started working for Charter Medical Corporation as a Director of Managed Care contracting in Indianapolis. Eventually, Mike held the position of Executive Director of Managed Care for a division of behavioral health hospitals before joining our sister facility in 2003.
Mike enjoys a number of activities outside the workplace, including golf, reading, travel and his 9-month-old daughter, Monet.
Nicole Sinclair
CFO
Nicole Sinclair is the CFO. She joined Sierra Vista in December 2009. Nicole came to us from Heritage Oaks Hospital where she worked as a CFO in training since July 2009. Prior to that Nicole held a practice Controller position for an Oncology group in Downtown Sacramento. Nicole graduated from Sacramento State University majoring in Accounting Information Systems.
Okey Nwangburuka
Medical Director
Okey Nwangburuka, MD, graduated with distinction from the College of Medicine, University of Maiduguri, Nigeria. He completed his Psychiatry Residency Training at Allegheny University Hospital, Philadelphia, and his Post-Doctoral Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Ohio State University. He is board certified in Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Psychosomatic Medicine. He started at Sierra Vista Hospital part time in 2005 and joined full time in 2007 as the Adolescent Services Program Director. He was appointed Medical Director of Sierra Vista in 2009. Prior to Sierra Vista, he had held Clinical Instructor and Clinical Assistant Professor positions, and also served as Senior Psychiatrist with Shasta County Mental Health.
